I don't have it all together.
I don't know anyone who does. If you do, please give them my number because I'm looking for reliable trail markers on this journey.
I do know a lot of people who are beautifully broken. Much like this window/roof in Dallas, Texas. Fractured glass-like. Fractals.
These people are wrecked for the ordinary. Colorful. Carefully reassembled. Stunning.
Snowflakes can be considered fractals. Irregular, self-similar. Snowflakes are tasty, too.
According to Cynthia Lanius, "They're everywhere, those bright, weird, beautiful shapes called fractals. But what are they, really?
Fractals are geometric figures, just like rectangles, circles and squares, but fractals have special properties that those figures do not have."
And they are beautiful. So what is imperfect – broken even – becomes magnificent and precious.
Just like us.
Or at least that is what I'm counting on.
To be a little fractal in God's coat pocket.
Join me. There is room for more.
And the more bits assemble, the more beautiful the outcome.
Blog Bonus: Design your own fractal! WOOOHOO!
I really appreciate this way to picture our lives. Thank you!
