I don’t want a platform.

I’ve missed you, folks.

It’s been a few weeks since I showed up around here. Your world has continued to spin and life continued to happen in all of its daily-ness and adventure.

So has mine.

As sweet of a surprise as finding the Hobbit Hole to live in has been connecting to a new job and people.

God has been himself.

Not tame, but good.

And the blog has been bare for a bit.

In the meantime, I’ve wrestled and researched and fallen flat on my face in search of the key to the lock that seals the door on this season of grief.

And I have not built my new blogsite.

It’s empty, too.

But I will. In a few weeks, I’ll get my tiny home wired up and the wordpress site, “What I’ve Noticed” up and running.

For now, I’ll keep thinking about and praying about why even write and post a blog.

I have an idea, but it’s not about shock and awe.

I don’t want a platform.

I desire relationship.

Whole, healthy, growing, true, safe, challenging, full-of-integrity-piss-and-vinegar…relationship.

If you desire relationship, you are invited to join me in this new venture (and if you are good at wordpress and want to help me set it up-CALL ME!)

It could be just semantics, but I wince at the term “platform.”

A platform raises me from being beside you…or perhaps raises me to your side. I don’t know.

Platforms keep us from getting in the muck of living. I tend to be squeamish about living in the dirt and pitching in to help clear out the mess if there is a platform or slab of tidy cement nearby.

I know and respect a few folks who do “platform” very well and in ways that foster relationship.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear what you would like to see in this conversation.

What is on your heart?

What questions do you have that wake you at night?

Where do you want to go?

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Anyhoo, thank you for slogging through this messy life with me. I want to be “here” for you, too.

Let’s keep the conversation going and get this party started!

And in the meantime, enjoy this cover of “Royal.”
