Well…it's here.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we'll gather around a big long table in Marlin, Texas; eat turkey, and tell stories.

There will be Big Red and Blue Bell – local delicacies – and lots of it.

Friday: Madi, Kenan, Howard Jr. & Lindy, Paul, Katie, Dave, Mimi, Moe, Rhonda, Seth, Karen, Zach and a few pals will drive into Marlin with kids and love in tow.

Saturday, Howard and I will say "I do" at a little blue-roofed church down the road from his childhood home; that red-roofed place where the dogs, cats, and kids run in the sun and play peek-a-boo.

I am thankful.

Howard is such a good man.

Charlie dog lies in the sun on the rug that I found in Manhattan, Kansas, years ago.

There is room for family, friends, and goofiness in this new-to-me home.

A new hammock swings in the shade of this Houston home – a few hours south and west of where we will get married. (Thanks so much Littles, Kacie, & Elaina!)

We are not just making room in the closet or sharing a sink. We are joining family and friends – a most holy union.

We are inviting the who that I love to become family with the who that Howard loves.

And as Lou always says, "love multiplies; it never divides."

So there will be room and love enough to share.

Y'all come on down, ya hear?
