This morning I felt like I needed to write a blog – one that was a departure from the last here-are-my-guts blogs written in obedience to an Unseen God.

Instead of feet in miry clay, I chipped out a really fun blog that apparently I needed to write, but that you did not need to read because the moment I hit "save & send," the blog vanished.

It is nowhere to be found on the blog's backside. Humph.

It wasn't all fluffy colorful unicorns, but it was intentionally an attempt at soul-refreshing.

There were multiple cool photos, a link to the Lumineer's song, Ho Hey, and deep, but airy thoughts from a Grinchy little heart.

It felt so good.

And don't we need the same hand that exposes our wounds to dress and heal them to then lift us?

So even after the first blog bit the dust, I launched into another one that subsequently…bit the dust.

Vanished.

Houdini'd.

Poofed.

And yet, here we go again.

Enjoy the bare necessities with Baloo and Mowgli. God knows you need them and he knows you need a bit of levity in a life that can sometimes feel heavy and burdensome.

Listen up.

Bookmark it.

Then get outside and play.

Go do it.

I'll be on the hammock finishing a tough read through of a manuscript that is so rich in truth, but hard to read.

The sun will help. It'll add a little vitamin D.

Now go.

Scoot.

Play.

It will do your world some good.

God, the Master, The Holy of Israel,

    has this solemn counsel:

“Your salvation requires you to turn back to me

and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves.

Your strength will come from settling down

    in complete dependence on me—

The very thing

    you’ve been unwilling to do…"
